What's in Flying Lady?
In addition to a lot of passion from the vintners, Flying Lady Wines are all authentically handcrafted from single vineyards and blocks selected by our master winemaker and oenologist, Leigh Meyerling. In our pursuit to make the finest wines, we see the journey as an adventure—vintage to vintage—and we welcome you to be part of our voyage.
Spring House Vineyard
Our flagship York Creek Vineyard and neighboring Winery are at an elevation of 2,187ft at the fog line on Spring Mountain.
Limited Production and Single vineyard
Each varietal is produced from single vineyards. This practice and our methodology yields a lower production but higher quality.
The winemaking methodology
Our process is to test and monitor the vineyard throughout the growing season to harvest. This discipline continues through fermentation, racking, and bottling.
Barrels and Cooperage
Carefully selected new French oak barrels, with specific toasting profiles and racking methods plays an important part throughout the aging process.
Napa starts here
Flying Lady is perched on and part of The Spring Mountain American Viticulture Area (AVA) at elevation of 2,187 mean sea level (MSL). Our property line is at Napa County Mile Marker 0.00 and Napa Valley truly starts at our winery and vineyard. Our Old Spring House Vineyard Block produces a wonderful and rare combination of flavors, with soft tannins and supreme age-ability
Reviews
“Very well balanced. Everyone would love this wine as it is pleasant, and full bodied without being to fruity or to dry.”
